Missed the BIG Picture
I buy shoes for style but there must be great comfort. Otherwise they are rarely worn and without the comfort I regret buying them. Once a particular shoemaker has too many misses, I stop considering them and don't buy there anymore. There's a lot to love about these shoes given the cute nautical lobster theme and slip-on styling, with one huge DRAWBACK.... this material does not breathe. It is like wrapping your feet in cling wrap for the Summer!! I kept my shoes because I loved the look too much, but decided to come back and write a review because Keds should take note of such things. The material has an odd shine when you look closely, so this has become the tip-off for me. However, there is no way when shopping on-line to know this until you get them and the put them on. After an hour, your feet are super hot and feel as tho they are shriveling while sweating. Wearing sox doesn't help enough. Just not the reliable Keds product. WHAT A SHAME! I do believe that even in winter, these will become uncomfortably hot. I'm thinking about pouring water on the outside to see if it even absorbs. PLEASE KEDS, make shoes that are from real and un-coated fabrics, not the plastic I believe is embedded in these -- it ruins the shoe.
