Keds Point Canvas Slip On

I wore KEDS growing up. My father used to take us periodically to buy new pairs of KEDS sneakers at the now defunct Uniroyal Tire Factory in Detroit when he would go to pick up his tire shop factory orders. Those KEDS were some DARN good made shoes, and affordable! These KEDS Points, I stumbled upon at a local discount outlet. I was amazed that they fit and felt so comfortable, despite the pointed toe, and I love that the platform soles add height without discomfort…A plus!!! I bought my regular size 8, but they do slip off the heel a bit, as others have said. So I used a store bought, slip-in orthotic, and heel insert, to take up the extra heel box space, and that solved that problem easily! I have only worn them around the house, and not out-of-doors yet, or, over an extended period of time, but so far, they are very comfortable, and I am 60 years young, with imperfect feet, so that’s saying a lot about the style and the brand! As I said before, I wear a women’s size 8 all around, in shoes and boots, unless they are cut small or large, and then, I adjust accordingly. These fit true to, and comfy, per my normal size (sans the heel slipping). I feel that KEDS may have purposely made the heel box slightly wider/longer due to the pointy toe box to allow for extra room for the toes, heel, and the middle part of the foot to remain comfortable while wearing. The foot bed is nicely cushioned which is going to be wonderful for long-term wear comfortability. I came to the KEDS site to see if they offered this style in other colors (I have the canary yellow), and I see, at this time, it is offered in a Black Denim, and a White Canvas version, but it is sold out in my size in the Black Denim…but I would like to secure a pair of the White canvas before my size sells out! LSS: The Point Canvas Slip-On is comfortable, easy to walk in, does slip off the heel (but can be easily resolved with the addition of an insert/orthotic/heel cup), fits true to size otherwise, easily dresses up/down, is a quiet stepping, thick rubber, one-inch , platform sole, that adds a little bit of a lift like a heel, but without the pain/fatigue of wearing a higher-heel shoe. I do highly recommend the KEDS Point Canvas Slip-On shoe style!
