I was skeptical... So, I read reviews before I buy pretty much anything. I read them and I was VERY skeptical, because I've had Keds before and I LOVED them. The reviews range from, "I wish they'd go back to the original ones" to "I FREAKING LOVE THESE". I just received my pair, and I am in love. I'm not joking. I love the aesthetic, and the color. I actually REALLY REALLY like the new white and blue label on the tongue. Overall I am super happy I bought these.

Love them ! I have worn Keds for years and by years I mean since the 70's when my sisters wore them . They seemed so comfortable then as they do today . We are truly blessed we are still able to get them today . With the cost of tennis shoes going up by the day , Keds seem to maintain a fair price in my opinion . The quality seems good as one would expect . The eyelets do need to go back to solid white . Overall I would recommend Keds to anyone !

Not really the original I grew up wearing Keds Champions and have worn various Keds sneakers since. I recently purchased a pair of the Keds Champions, brown, with rounded laces and the blue label with white lettering in back, and was very disappointed. The back of the sneaker is cut so low it doesn't quite crest over the heal to keep the shoe on your foot. And after wearing them just 10 times holes wore through on the inside. I hope they will bring back their earlier versions, their real Champion (higher in the back, better quality inside and out).

My old keds favorites I am a girl that likes to be casual and comfortable. A pair of keds are my favorite shoes to wear. I have had many pairs of keds over the years. I usually wear mine barefoot. I like the look and feel of wearing keds barefoot with shorts and jeans. I have an old pair that I am wearing with my blue jean shorts as I write this review. They are really worn out and very comfortable. I have holes in the toes and sides of them and my big toes are sticking out with toe nail polish on them. I think keds are great sneakers and when they get holey they are neat and cool to wear. I also have several good pairs that do not have holes in them also. I really enjoy my keds.

The update is a setback I've owned Keds all my life, and I have over dozens of pairs now in every color and style. The latest update to the classic Champion, the one where they removed the blue label from the tongue and use just the icon outline, is definitely a setback for me. This is my third pair of the update, which also includes a smaller signature label on the back of the sneaker, and I'm not impressed. First, something as simple as the shoelace now bothers me. The shoelaces used are thin, cheap, and one of them already broke on me today as soon as I got them out of the box! Second, the fit feels like it's changed ever so slightly. The sole feels just slightly less cushiony, even though there is a new "Ortholite" label on the padding inside. Overall, I'm just going to hang on to my old sneakers until they make another adjustment. I bought over 12 pair of the white Champion when it had the blue label on the tongue design because they were super comfortable and seemed to be perfect. Now, not so much.
