Beautiful design, extremely painful for walking

I love the design and the fir fit was just right, but I have never had so much pain from sneakers. I bought these so I could have casual, closed-toed shoes. They were fine for the car-dependent, suburb lifestyle, but when I took them to my month vacation, the soles of my feet started hurting not even a week in. I thought it was something that would go away with time, but the pain progressively got worse, spreading to my ankles near the end of the month. The pain was intense after taking a break and walking again, especially after taking the shoes off. the last couple days of the month I had to resort to wearing running shoes, which helped. I will have to throw away these shoes, but if the problem gets fixed (much thicker soles) I may consider buying again, and would request more color variety. Would not recommend these shoes to those living in cities or going on vacation.
