My old keds favorites I am a girl that likes to be casual and comfortable. A pair of keds are my favorite shoes to wear. I have had many pairs of keds over the years. I usually wear mine barefoot. I like the look and feel of wearing keds barefoot with shorts and jeans. I have an old pair that I am wearing with my blue jean shorts as I write this review. They are really worn out and very comfortable. I have holes in the toes and sides of them and my big toes are sticking out with toe nail polish on them. I think keds are great sneakers and when they get holey they are neat and cool to wear. I also have several good pairs that do not have holes in them also. I really enjoy my keds.

The update is a setback I've owned Keds all my life, and I have over dozens of pairs now in every color and style. The latest update to the classic Champion, the one where they removed the blue label from the tongue and use just the icon outline, is definitely a setback for me. This is my third pair of the update, which also includes a smaller signature label on the back of the sneaker, and I'm not impressed. First, something as simple as the shoelace now bothers me. The shoelaces used are thin, cheap, and one of them already broke on me today as soon as I got them out of the box! Second, the fit feels like it's changed ever so slightly. The sole feels just slightly less cushiony, even though there is a new "Ortholite" label on the padding inside. Overall, I'm just going to hang on to my old sneakers until they make another adjustment. I bought over 12 pair of the white Champion when it had the blue label on the tongue design because they were super comfortable and seemed to be perfect. Now, not so much.

Not "Original" Keds I have been buying Keds and washing in machine for over 50 years. Three years ago, I discovered that the dye used for the insole runs. I cannot fathom why Keds continues to use it. I recently bought a pair and discovered the fit is not the same. The shoe from the toe to top of tongue is 1 inch longer. The tip of the tongue hits the front of my ankle and the sides hit the bottom of my ankle bones. They are the most uncomfortable Keds I have ever had. I wish I could truly buy "original" Keds. Your changes are all for the worse.

Not the same Keds I’ve been buying for years I have been buying Champion originals since 2011, and I’m SO disappointed in my most recent order. The shoes run more narrow, and to confirm I️ compared the soles to the soles of my old pairs. The laces are now very narrow and cheap. Also, the toe box is much more pointed than on my other pairs. I️ bought a couple pairs last year that fit great and we’re high quality, but these new pairs that I️ ordered in October 2017 are just sad!

Clean and Classic Look I didn't even know if Keds was still in business when I went looking for them on line. I bought two pairs of white Classics. The quality has gone way down since my HS days, but I'm still glad to have them. Sometimes you can "go back" again.
